Process Drain System (PDS)
Process drain system are piping networks that collect waste (in liquid or slurry form) that is discharged from process equipments to a centralized location. The waste is usually collected by gravity flow or pressurized flow.
The following criteria are taken into consideration during design stage of the system:
- Piping material selection in accordance to corrosive nature of the waste
- Method of construction
- Sizing and sloping of the piping network
- Safety and alarm requirement of the system
